研究概要

好中球がローリング中に、ローリングの進行方向に長く伸びる構造（スリング）を形成していることを発見し、これにより、ずり応力の高い場合においても好中球が安定してローリングが可能となることが明らかになった。深部静脈血栓症においては、比較的ずり応力の高い血管内において炎症細胞浸潤が起きているため、スリング上の細胞接着分子の働きが深部静脈血栓症の発症に重要な役割を果たしていることが示唆された。
