研究概要

我々は、脂肪から産生されるアディポサイトカインの一つであるアディポネクチンが内皮依存性に網膜血管を拡張させることを示し、さらに２型の早期の糖尿病網膜症患者において、血中アディポネクチン濃度と網膜血流量が正の相関を示すことも明らかとした。以前の臨床研究で我々は、２型の早期の糖尿病網膜症の患者において、網膜血流量が低下しているという結果を得ていることから、血中の低下したアディポネクチンが網膜血流量を低下させ、網膜症の進展につながっているかもしれない。したがって、アディポネクチンの活動性を強めることが新しい治療法につながるかもしれない。
