研究成果の概要

遺伝子の発現制御に重要な役割を担うmicroRNA(miR）等のnoncoding RNAやDNAメチル化等のエピジェネティクスを調べた結果、miRは個体内変動が大きいが、miR-146aやmiR-125a、let-7aの発現レベルやmiR-125aの遺伝子多型、miRの生成に必要なDicerやDroshaの発現レベルや遺伝子多型、さらにヒストン修飾に関係するSIRT1や自然免疫のTLR、そしてIL-15、TSHR、VDR、アポトーシス制御因子、ケモカイン等の遺伝子多型が自己免疫性甲状腺疾患の発症・予後と関連しており、これらが自己免疫疾患の発症・予後診断法の開発に利用できることを明らかにした。
