研究概要

アブラナ科植物の受粉-受精過程の最初の生殖障壁として機能する花粉-乳頭細胞間相互作用について解析した。その結果、花粉表層物質中には同種の乳頭細胞内のアクチン繊維の再構成を誘導し、花粉管へのCa^<2+>を含む水の供給を促進する活性が含まれることを明らかにした。また、この和合反応経路は、自家不和合性経路により阻害されることを示すと共に、実際のCa^<2+>輸送に関わるポンプ分子の候補を特定した。
