研究概要

1 セーシェルとマダガスカルにて一ヶ月間標本を採集した。セーシェルでは固有種のフタバガキVateriopsis seychellarumの標本を採集した。マダガスカルでは固有種のフタバガキMonotes madagascariensisの標本を採集した。加えて、マングローブBruguiera gymnorrhiza、B. sexangula、Rhizophora apiculataについてそれぞれ三集団ずつから標本を採集した。
2 それぞれの集団について20から30個体ずつ標本を採集した。
3 採集したすべての標本から、DNAを抽出した。
4 スウェーデンとロシアの科学者の協力を得て、ユーラシアの主要なカラマツについて64集団から標本を採集した。
5 すべての標本の一覧はMySQLを用いてデータベース化され、そのデータベースは2002年五月よりインターネット上で公開されている。URLは、http://genetics.biology.kyushu-u.ac.jp。
6 2004年三月にタイで標本採集が予定されている。
