研究概要

本年度の成果は次のようにまとめられる。
1. 2008年5月29日〜6月2日に北海道大学水産学部練習船うしお丸によって海洋観測を実施した. 半島の北側(ウトロ側)と南側(羅臼側)の両方の沿岸において,海面から海底まで低水温であった。底棲魚類やベントスへの影響も懸念された。春季と夏季の知床半島周辺海域においてサイズ別基礎生産量を測定した。岸近くでは大型(>10μm)植物プランクトンの寄与が高く、沖合ではオホーツク海側で大型、根室海峡側で小型(<2μm)の寄与が高かった。
2. 春季の宗谷暖流前駆水のまわりで鉛直スケール10m前後の顕著な密度逆転がみられ、低気圧性渦が形成されていた。数値モデルから高密度な前駆水が湾から半島沿いを運ばれる間に沈降していた可能性がある。これはオホーツク海中層のベンチレーションの一端を示す毛のである。
3. 知床世界遺産地域に遡上するサケ属魚類の遡上産卵動態とヒグマの行動パターンとの関係を明らかにするとともに,カラフトマスによる海起源物質(MDN)の陸域生態系への輸送の動態とメカニズムを明らかにした。
4. 9月上旬知床半島部の水深50mから2000mの沿岸部で海鳥の目視調査をした。明瞭な水塊構造は認められず、昨年の同時期と同様アカカシミズナギドリ、ハイイロミズナギドリが出現した。-昨年の春には、羅臼側の冷水塊に多数のハシボソミズナギドリが出現しており、はっきりした季節性が認められた。
5. サケ類の移動生態調査で2種のサケ類にデータロガーを装着して放流した結果、カラフトマスの平均の遊泳水深と水温は、11.7±3.6m,15.1±0.6℃であったが、シロザケは、9月に放流した群で55.3±39.0m,14.4±2.9℃,10月が6.9±5.8m,15.5±0.9℃であった。
6. 2008年6月,同9月(ウトロ側),および2009年1月(羅臼沖)にてROVよる生物調査を実施した。半島周辺海域は半島の東西に関わらず,水深,底質,などの変化に伴って,生物相も多様に変化し,本海域の生物の多様性に大きく寄与している可能性が示された。
7. サンマの生産調整が大型魚の魚価下落を招いた問題について、魚価と大型魚比率の関係を分析し、サンマの齢構成資源動態モデルを用いて、今後の資源崩壊リスクと赤字リスクを推定した。知床の沿岸漁業については、漁獲量と漁獲高を用いて、魚種別評価を行う方法を提案した。
