研究概要

種数g≧1の向き付け可能表面に埋め込まれたグラフの分枝分割に対する近似度(1+2g/3)のアルゴリズムを開発した。この結果は、同様なグラフの分枝幅bw(G)と面幅fw(G)の間にbw(G)≧(3/2)fw(G)の関係が成り立つことを示すことにより得られた。また、平面グラフGの分枝幅と最大の格子マイナーの大きさgm(G)の間にbw(G)≦3gm(G)が成り立つことを示し、それに基づいた平面グラフの分枝分割の高速定数近似アルゴリズムを開発した。
