Research Abstract

本年度は、7月19日-20日の両日にわたり、計画・公募全研究者による成果発表会ならびに総括班会議を京都大学で開催し、活発な討論を行うと共に、総括班員を中心に5年間の特定領域研究活動全般についての自己評価を行った。また、平成24年1月27日-28日の両日にわたり、海外招待演者10名、国内招待演者15名を含む200名の参加を得て、領域主催の第4回国際シンポジウムを京都大学で開催した。多くの若手研究者や大学院生が参加し、国内外の先端的研究者の講演をもとに非常に活発な議論がなされ盛会であった。この機会に世界をリードする第一線の海外免疫学研究者らとともに今後の免疫学研究の動向やヒト免疫学研究の必要性などについても有意義な議論を行うことができた。さらに、平成24年6月には、これまで5年間にわたる特定領域研究の全成果をまとめた報告書の冊子体(全686ページ)の編集を繰り越し予算によって完成させ、領域研究参加全研究者のみならず、文科省や関係大學・研究機関などへの送付を完了したところである。全期間の参画研究者による英文発表原著論文総数は1387編に及ぶが、本報告書には全参加研究員の研究成果ならびに代表的論文の別冊が付してあり、本領域の活動内容が具体的に通観できるようになっている。最後に文科省生物部会にて領域代表者が本領域研究の事後評価ヒアリングを受けた。最終評価はA評価であり、期待通りの成果が得られたとの評価を受けた。
