Research Abstract |
In this research we developed a real environment baptizing system which can convert 3D vision sensor information into 3D haptic display information at real-time ; A) high speed vision systems for baptizing, B) baptizing system for visual information, C) image processing algorithms for extracting haptic display information, D) haptic display algorithms for scale changing, enhancing, etc. In 2001 we designed a system architecture for real environment baptizing system using high speed vision systems based on vision chip, and proposed image processing algorithms for real time baptizing flan visual information. In 2002 we integrated stereo high speed vision systems and a haptic display and developed a real environment haptizing system for 3D real world information, and proposed haptic display algorithms for the baptizing system. In 2003 we evaluate the performance of the developed 3D real environment baptizing system, and systemized new interaction algorithms integrating image processing and haptic displaying.
