Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research focused on a form of collaboration in which materials from advanced libraries (e.g., university libraries and special libraries) are made available to high school students as support for high school students engaged in advanced study. In order to identify the needs and effects of this collaboration, this research was conducted using a combination of five different surveys. (literature review, questionnaire survey, analysis of papers written by high school students, interview survey, analysis of library usage data) The survey results indicate that a need for advanced materials exists among high school students who conduct inquiry-based learning, and that there is educational value in collaboration. The results of this research also found that early access to advanced materials facilitates a process of growth that leads to smooth use of information resources after high school graduation.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
