(1) Hosting an online Symposium, 'Advertising Print' (18th March, 2023) at which six research papers were presented followed by questions and commentary. Two papers were written and presented by the grant holder, 'Serial Fiction Trailers in the Sunday Magazine of the New York Tribune, 1900-1914', and ' Utilising Publisher Archives: A Case Study of Cambridge University Press'.
(2) Research was undertaken on the Cambridge University Press (CUP) and its use of book advertising. An initial survey of holdings for future exploration was conducted with assistance of Rosalind Grooms (CUP Archivist).
(3) A publicly-accessible database of book advertising images was launched which is being regularly updated and will be a lasting legacy of the project, and source for other scholars to use.
