Outline of Final Research Achievements

We have studied the possibility of solid-state NMR as a new tool for structure analysis of magic-sized coinage clusters. By using [Ag25(SPhMe2)18]-[PPh4]+ as a model sample, 109Ag NMR signals were measured. The signals were assigned by combining solid-state NMR and DFT calculation. Moreover, we found that the cluster has a slow motion, which may effect on the catalytic and optic properties.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
