| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
成層圏突然昇温時の熱圏/電離圏の2次波を調査する予定であったが、本年度は下記に説明する非常に面白い２次波のイベントを発見したため、そちらを優先した。
本年度は、豪国南極基地(Davis)上空の中間県界面付近で観測された２次波のイベントについて研究を行ってきた。この２次波の発生メカニズムは、対流圏ジョットによって発生した１次波が南極海(南緯60度)上空40 km付近で砕破であると考えられる。
豪国基地に設置してあるOH大気光イメージャを用いて大気重力波の観測を行い、再解析データ(MERRA-2)とレイトレーシングモデルを用いて、この重力波がどの地点から伝波してきたのかを調査した。結果、南極海(南緯60度)上空40 km付近から伝波してきていることがわかった。この付近の波源を調べるために、衛星観測(AIRS)を解析した結果、同日に振幅の大きい重力波が存在していることがわかった。この40 km付近の重力波は対流圏ジェットのトラフの風下側に存在したため、ジェット気流を波源とする波と考えられる。

現在執筆している豪国南極基地上空の２次波の論文を出版することが上半期の目標である。それと同時並行で日本の夏季期間の２次波について研究を行っていく予定である。
