Research Abstract |
Wistar rats were divided into three groups : Sham, and myocardial infarction rats model that injected placebo (MI group) or rHDL (6mg/kg, MI+rHDL group). The MI+rHDL group increased LV ejection fraction and expression of ERK, Rb and decreased fibrotic area of MI compared to that in the MI group. In addition, rHDL suppressed arrest of cell growth in myocytes. This effect was blocked by PD98059, an ERK inhibitor. In conclusions, rHDL has beneficial effects that prevent LV remodeling, and may prevent arrest of cell growth through ERK pathway in myocytes.
