光誘起プラズマによる三次元ナノ加工技術の開発

Research Abstract

再生増幅後のフェムト秒レーザーパルスを音響光学分散位相フィルター(Acoustico pticphase dispersion filter : AOPDF)を利用して波形制御し、時間遅延させたフェムト秒ダブルパルスや周波数チャープが石英ガラスとの相互作用にどのような影響を与えるかを調査した。具体的には、照射中のプラズマ発光やナノ周期構造形成による複屈折を測定し、パルス波形に対する発光強度や位相差(リターダンス)との関係を調べた。照射した全エネルギーをシングルパルス列の場合と同一としたダブルパルス列の照射では、リターダンス、発光強度共にダブルパルス列の方がシングルパルス列より大きくなった。特に、ダブルパルス列の照射により、プラズマ電子を効率的に励起することができるため、リターダンス値をシングルパルス列に比べて約3倍にすることが可能であることを明らかにした。周波数チャープの実験では、リターダンス、発光強度ともにフーリエ変換限界(FTL)付近のパルスでは大きくなり、FTLから離れるに従い、パルス幅による影響が支配的となり、値が小さくなった。以上の結果から、照射レーザーの周波数チャープやパルス列を制御することによって誘起される複屈折の位相差を制御することが可能であることを見出し、(1)超短パルス光のパルス成形・制御システムを構築するとともに、(2)超短パルス光の偏光・位相による三次元ナノ構造作製技術を開発した。

Reason

本年度実施予定の(1)超短パルス光のパルス成形・制御システムの開発、(2)超短パルス光の偏光・位相による三次元ナノ構造作製技術の開発、については、おおむね目標を達成した。一方で、液晶空間光変調器(LCOS-SLM)を用いた周波数チャープの二次元制御については、制御プログラムの作成が終了できず、未達であった。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

来年度は、今年度までに構築した超短パルス光のパルス成形・制御システムと超短パルス光照射システムの有効性を実証するため、石英ガラス内部にサイズ・形態が制御されたシリコンナノ粒子や金属ナノ粒子を析出し、白色LEDや太陽電池等のデバイス構造を試作する。
