Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In the 5-year follow-up data analysis, which was consolidated from 2018 to 2023, the incidence of cognitive frailty was 2.5%. Cognitive frailty was associated with mean cardio-ankle vascular index (CAVI) and not with high-sensitivity CRP. The association between cognitive frailty and 12 types of lifestyle activities (physical, cognitive, and social) was examined, and those who engaged in light exercise at least once a week, regular exercise, exposure to the soil, participation in local festivals and events, neighborhood association activities, and volunteer activities were significantly less likely to have cognitive frailty.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究の結果から、動脈硬化の指標でもあるCAVIを制御することや、積極的な生活活動への参加(特に身体活動および社会活動)を促すことは地域在住高齢者の認知的フレイルに対する予防的視点として有益である可能性が示された。
