Research Abstract |
The aim of this study is development of a monitoring system to determine the locations of submersion or cavitation in large long soil structures. The method, named "Closed circuit radar method", was invented to detect submersion points and cavitation points in long soil structures from the reflection characteristic of the high frequency signal transmitting through a buried transmission line. In 2011, the device for "closed circuit radar method" was examined, and the principle was confirmed by a series of laboratory model experiment in 2012.
