Outline of Annual Research Achievements

1) 前年度に続いて、症例収集と疫学調査をおこなった。口腔扁平癌と上皮内癌ならびにその前癌病変症例を、中国では上海交通大学、四川大学、ミャンマーでは国立医学研究所につづき、台湾では国立台湾大学歯学部にも抽出してもらい、症例収集を拡充した。それらの症例については、組織標本のバーチャルスライドを蓄積した。コンピュータネットワークによる相互観察討議ができるよう環境整備し、実働しているところである。

2) 日本側の研究代表者程ならびに分担者朔が中国の上海交通大学口腔医学院を訪問し、口腔病理学教室の李江教授をはじめ現地の研究協力者の口腔病理医と症例を相互に検討して申請者らの確立してきた口腔表在性癌の疾患概念と診断基準について討議した。また、國立台湾大学歯学部長で口腔病理学教担当の江俊斌教授を新潟に招聘し、台湾の口腔表在性癌症例について診断基準の均てん化をはかった。とくに乳頭型の組織像について今後の検討が必要という認識を持つ

3) その一部の成果をまとめて、「アジア癌研究サミット2015」や「口腔がん国際フォーラム2016」等の学会にて発表した。

Reason

基本的に当初の研究の目的と計画に沿っている。とくに、日本側研究者が中国の上海への調査と研究打ち合わせをおこなって、台湾大学歯学部の江教授の新潟大学訪問が実現し、症例選定の基準について、実地に詳細な検討を継続的におこなうことができたことで大きな前進があった。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

海外調査では現地共同研究者の協力が成否を決定するので、昨年度と同様、現地の共同研究者を日本に招聘し、あるいは、国内の研究代表者ならびに共同研究者が常に現地を訪問して、意思疎通をはかりながら収集症例が精確に選別できるように努力するとともに、日常的にネットワーク上で意見交換し、密な連絡と信頼関係を築きながら調査を継続させたい。

Causes of Carryover

今年度末に、インドネシアにて共同研究調査を実施する予定であったが、そのための旅費を確保したが、ジェンバー大学口腔病理学教室のMei Syafriadi教授からの現地事情により、次年度の5月に延期したいとの要望に応じて、研究代表者次年度使用額として担保した。
