Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In recent years, esthetic dentistry has become more prevalent because of increasing patient demands, and CAD/CAM ceramic restorations is considered as a standard procedure in esthetic rehabilitation. Successful color matching requires selection of the proper shade because the color of natural teeth is complex, not monotone. Therefore, definition of tooth color distribution is essential for esthetic implant restorations. This study aimed to evaluate the optical properties of full-contour CAD/CAM all-ceramic restorations and natural teeth. Analysis of color gradation data from the incisal to the cervical region of a tooth is useful in selecting appropriate full-contour CAD/CAM restorations.
