Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We previously developed a method for "high-accuracy identification of individual potters" using a multifaceted approach that combined perspectives from archaeology, archaeological science, and ethnoarchaeology. In this study, we tried to further refine the method and explore its application to wider fields. As a result, various techniques were refined, and the method's application was successfully broadened to cover a wider range of objects, including objects that were previously difficult to identify. Furthermore, during the course of this study, diverse outcomes were obtained, including unexpected archaeological findings as well as wider applications, owing to increased understanding among researchers about the method of individual identification and associated methods.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
