Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this research, 1) we developed a new type of Japanese elementary materials, in which learning items useful for real Japanese interactive communications are newly selected and re-organized step by step, and 2) we analyzed some important learning items chosen into our textbook related to 1) above.As for 1) new textbook in trial version has completed after many editorial meetings by research members, and has been used so far by more than 500 students in the university language class. As for 2) specially, we analyzed “-ndes(kedo)” and its related grammatical items “-kara” and ”-kedo”, and Japanese passive sentences, through research of some corpuses and several existing learning materials. From the result obtained in these analyses, new syllabus and teaching methods of these items are reached as a solution to problems.
