Project Period (FY) 2014-04-01 – 2016-03-31
Keywords酸性環境 / 肉腫 / V型ATPase
Outline of Final Research Achievements

To examine whether acidic microenvironment promote sarcoma activity, SW872 liposarcoma cells were cultured in pH7.4 or pH 6.4 medium. SW872 cells treated with acidic medium (pH 6.4) showed increased invasion and proliferation activity.
Next, We investigated expression of the vacuolar-type H-ATPase (V-ATPase) which has been shown to cause extracellular acidification by pumping protons. The isoform of a3, E2, F, G2, H were increased in liposarcoma (malignant tumor) compared by lipoma (benign tumor).
