Outline of Final Research Achievements |
LYDEX has an effect for the in vivo site which does not move. LYDEX has biocompatibility, antibacterial action and effects to adhere to the tissue. Also, we can mix with cytokine such as FGF-2.Because it gradually disintegrates itself, it is the ideal biomaterial as the Drug Delivery System (DDS) effects. However, in this animal experiment, in a extraction site of tooth, tissue adhesive property goes out when it is used area of existing saliva or existing blood. Also, a problem to collapse at chewing became clear because it was fragile with an agar form. LYDEX was not suitable for intraoral application after extracting a tooth in this study, but seemed to be useful for the clinical application such as the osteosynthesis by DDS effects in the tissue.
