Outline of Final Research Achievements

Various issues were addressed to verify the applicability of SOC to develop intervention programs for elderly people that can be applied to community support projects and to measure their effects.
As a result, we found that SOC significantly promoted/reduced positive/negative mental health in old age, that social relational resources accounted for positive/negative mental health through SOC, and that SOC reduced psychophysiological reactivity (stress-buffering effect against stress responses).

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
