Research Abstract

幾何学, 物理学に現れる調和写像に関するエネルギー最小化問題を研究した. とくに, エネルギー最急降下曲線である調和写像に対する時間発展, 調和写像流, の解の時間大域的存在と解の滑らかさ(連続性, 微分可能性)について研究した. 調和写像の高次元版であるm調和写像について, その時間発展であるm調和写像流の弱解(数学的な抽象解)の時間大域存在とその解の部分的正則性(滑らかな点とそうでない点の集合を分けること)を証明した. 滑らかでない点周りの解の極限がm調和球面(m次元球面から写像先の多様体へのm調和写像)となる, 特異点周りのbubbling現象を証明した. これらは, 調和写像に対する結果のm調和写像への一般化である. また, m調和写像に対する自由境界問題を研究し, m調和写像流の弱解の時間大域存在とその解の部分的正則性を証明した. また, 自由境界上の特異点周りの解の極限は, m調和球(m次元球から写像先の多様体へのm調和写像)となる, 自由境界上のbubbling現象を証明した.
