Outline of Final Research Achievements

Th aim of this study is to develop a framework for the studying higher ordered goal in mathematics education for the development a process standard for the next generations by a theoretical consideration of setting and assessing the higher ordered goal as well as practical approach to develop instructional materials and use of them in mathematics classrooms. The current study proposed a framework for process standard with a focus on both the process of formulating real world problems into mathematics and of mathematizing mathematical problems.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

従来は数学的内容の領域を中心に構造化されてきた数学教育の目標論、内容論に対し、本研究は、数学教育研究の国際的動向を考慮に入れて、数学的プロセスに焦点化したスタンダードの開発行うことで、我が国の算数・数学の教育課程の改善を意図し、併せて数学的プロセスの観点から構築される算数・数学の学力調査の枠組みを提案するものである。このことは、「資質・能力」論に基づいて検討されてきた新学習指導要領に基づく教育実践に対する具体的な指針を示すとともに、育成を目指す資質・能力を中核とする数学の学力論と評価論に対し、数学的プロセスを規範的にとらえる目標論の立場から枠組みを提供することで貢献する意義をもつ。
