Outline of Final Research Achievements	Although physical activity and sports participation are important for health, inequalities due to socioeconomic status and other factors pose challenges. This study aimed to clarify the mechanisms that generate inequalities in physical activity and test the effectiveness of novel promotion strategy models that consider inequalities through (1) an interdisciplinary cohort study, (2) a community-wide intervention study, and (3) a mobile ICT intervention study. The results of the study identified socioeconomic and environmental factors that generate inequalities in physical activity, sedentary behavior, and physical function and found no differences in the effects of promotion of physical activity among socioeconomic factors in either the community-wide intervention study or the mobile ICT intervention study, suggesting that each may have been effective in promoting physical activity among the diverse individuals in the target population.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements	身体活動の促進を目的とした介入は、ただ情報提供を行うだけといったアプローチでは、身体活動の格差を広げてしまう危険性が指摘されている。そのような中、多面的地域介入という複合的なアプローチを地域住民と協働で進め、また、クラスター・ランダム化比較試験という厳格なデザインで検証し、社会経済的要因により身体活動促効果に違いが見られなかったことを示した学術的・社会的意義は大きい。また、モバイルICT介入はプロ野球パ・リーグとの協働による社会実装・検証であったが、知見を学術論文で公開するだけでなく、既に他のスポーツでも同様の実装例が生まれており、本研究の実社会における波及インパクトが示されている。
