Research Abstract

4次元多様体をリーマン面との関連から研究する。具体的には、リーマン面を底空間とし、別のリーマン面をファイバーとするファイバー空間(特異ファイバーを許す)の全空間として理解する。これは特殊な対象に見えるが、実は4次元シンプレクティック多様体の下部構造になっている(ドナルドソン、ゴンプ)。リーマン面の退化して行く履歴として4次元多様体を研究することに相当し、リーマン面の退化理論との関連が深い。
