Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects on the muscles around the shoulder joint brought about by promoting the activity of the inner muscles using the trunk training device Trunk Solution (TS) in healthy adults and patients with cerebrovascular disease, and aim for clinical application. When muscle activity was evaluated during shoulder joint abduction with and without TS, the deltoid muscle activity significantly increased at 90°, and the trapezius muscle significantly increased at 60° and 90° in healthy adults. Activity was increasing. In patients with cerebrovascular disease, there was a significant difference in the deltoid muscle activity between the presence and absence of TS only at 0°, and the trapezius muscle activity increased significantly at 90°. It was suggested that wearing a TS facilitates muscle activity around the shoulder joint not only in healthy adults but also in patients with cerebrovascular disease.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究は,健常成人と脳血管疾患者に対し,体幹訓練機器Trunk Solution(TS)を使用して,インナーマッスルの活動を促すことがもたらす肩関節周囲筋への効果を検証した.その結果,健常成人,脳血管疾患者ともに僧帽筋と三角筋の筋活動量が増加する結果が得られた. 本研究より,TSを装着することにより健常成人だけでなく脳血管疾患者においても肩関節周囲筋の筋活動が促通しやすくなることが示唆できた.
