Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study aims to identify the current state of cooperative support by medical care and Yogo teachers for high school students with possible mental disorders to enable early intervention. As a result of investigations with Yogo teachers, the suggested elements are: 1) Approximately 60% of Yogo teachers supported high school students with mental or possible disorders. 2) Cooperation with medical institutions took place in approx. 40% of cases. Approx. 80% of 12th graders involved graduated. 3) Problems with the cooperative support for students where mental disorders were possible were related to "school," "medical institution," "home," and "society," and combinations of these. 4) Future matters are to realize specialized cooperation support, creation of local networks for this, policies to meet the needs of schools, and "outreach to schools."
