Research Abstract |
This investigation has proved, taking the 19th end of Spain's case as an example, that it's able to read the aesthetic and sexual sensibility of people who lived in the society of the concrete age, in the beginning of fiction, where the arts of persuasion to immerse that reader in the fictional world has been highly concentrated. For instance, 1) the adoration of the Greece-Roman classics in the century when the scientism had overflowed in Europe, 2) the first utilization of the book's beginning as the titles, subtitles, and dedication in order to determine how to read the novel, 3) the technique of introducing hero by his name from the first opening line, 4) the appearance of the models of caracters as "domesctic angel/new woman" and "strong female/weak male", that depended on the approval or disapproval to the female's social situation, 5) the predominance of the discourse of first person, that is narrated by the untrustworhtily male narrator, related to the sign of feminism.
